8410 is a highly effective Borate Nitrite corro­sion inhibitor in convenient, ready-to-use form.

Dosage

The correct dosage of 8410 is dependent upon the mineral characteristics of the make¬up water and operating conditions. After a careful analysis of all factors, your Power Engineering Representative will make proper recommendations. Normally a dosage of 800 to 1200 ppm as nitrite is recommended.

Feeding

Add the required quantity of 8410 to the system using a Power Engineering Company Bypass Feeder. The feeder can be installed at any convenient and accessible location in the system. NOTE: New installations should be free of oil, grease, dirt, etc., prior to charg¬ing with 8410. PECO 5487 is a proven closed system cleaner specifically formulated for this purpose.

Service

Regular service calls will be made by a Power Engineering Company Representative to make complete water tests at your plant. All recommendations and adjustments for cor¬rect water treatment will be discussed at this time.
