8710 is a highly effective organic product blend containing filming polyamines, neutralizing amines, copolymers and yellow metals corrosion inhibitors which prevents scaling and corrosion by means of a protective film in closed hot water, chilled water and closed cooling water systems. This impervious barrier between dissolved oxygen and the metal surfaces prevents corrosion. This product can be used with DI water, softened water or city water. Compatible with Geo-ground loop systems containing 5% methanol. Product comes in a convenient ready-to-use liquid form.
Dosage
The correct dosage of 8710 is 1 gallon per 100 gallons of system capacity. Recommended control dosage range is 3-5 ppm.
Feeding
Add the required quantity of 8710 to the system using a Power Engineering Company bypass feeder. The feeder can be installed at any convenient and accessible location in the system. NOTE: New installations should be cleaned before adding 8710, PECO 5487 is a proven closed system cleaner specifically formulated for this purpose.
Service
Regular service calls will be made by a Power Engineering Company representative to make complete water tests at your plant. All recommendations and adjustments for cor¬rect water treatment will be discussed at this time.
