Power Engineering Product 4940 can be used as a stand alone, or pH adjusted cooling water treatment. Product 4940 has been designed specifically for the medium to large open recirculating system.
State of the art Polymer technology combined with synthetic dispersants and provides superior corrosion protection and maintains clean heat transfer surfaces.
Dosage
The correct dosage of 4940 is dependent upon system operating conditions and water quality. After a complete water analysis, your Power Engineering Service Representative will recommend the proper treatment levels.
Feeding
Product 4940 is ready to feed from the shipping container. The treatment must be fed neat, and not diluted or mixed with other products.
The use of a controlled volume chemical pump is recommended. 4940 may be fed in proportion to either the flow of the bleed or the make up.
Service
Regular service calls will be made by a Power Engineering Service Representative to evaluate product performance. An analysis of the system water will be conducted and recommendations for any adjustments will be made at the time of each visit.
Additional analyses may be performed in the Power Engineering lab if required or requested.
