PECO 4730

Advantages

    • Concentrated treatment especially designed for cooling water systems
    • Controls and disperses organic deposits and biofilm matrix
    • State of the art amine and nonionic surfactant combination

Power Engineering Product 4730 is a specialty formulated cleaning dispersant for Use in open recirculating cooling water systems. State of the art synthetic nonionic dispersants and unique amines makes PECO 4730 especially effective in cleaning and removing organic and bio-induced deposits.

PECO 4730 functions by chemically working into the organic/bio matrix and loosening the deposit. This results in the sloughing off of the deposit. Consistent use of PECO 4730 will control re-deposition and under deposit corrosion. PECO 4730 will aid in the cleaning of heavily fouled systems. PECO 4730 will also help reduce inorganic deposits and corrosion.

Dosage

The PECO 4730 should be fed at a rate of 10-40 ppm two times a week. For systems that are heavily fouled, a slug dose of 60 to 100 ppm should be fed every other day until fouling is under control, then continue with the routine feed rate of 10-40 ppm twice weekly to maintain control of the fouling and bio matrix.

Feeding

PECO 4730 is ready to feed from the shipping container. The treatment must be fed neat, and not diluted or mixed with other products.
The use of a controlled volume chemical pump is recommended. PECO 4730 may be fed by the use of a timer or manually applied to the sump of the cooling tower. PECO 4730 may cause some foaming when fed at high dose rates. At normal use rates, the product will generate a small amount of unstable foam that will not be troublesome.
When applying to heavily fouled systems, adequate precautions should be taken to prevent plugging screens due to large amounts of deposited materials being removed by the PECO 4730.
(DO NOT USE WITH GLUTALYDEHYDE BIOCIDES.)

Service

Regular service calls will be made by a Power Engineering Service Representative to evaluate product performance. An analysis of the system water will be conducted and recommendations for any adjustments will be made at the time of each visit.
